SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Jack S. Kester of Rock Island, who
4passed away on March 26, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jack Kester was born to Vern and Gladys (Dierikx)
6Kester in Moline on November 9, 1943; he graduated from Rock
7Island High School and served in the U.S. Navy during the
8Vietnam War; he married Joan Wysocki in Rock Island on
9February 20, 1971; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Jack Kester worked as a field engineer for
11Eastman Kodak for many years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Jack Kester was a member of St. Pius X Catholic
13Church, the Davenport Radio Control Society, and the Coast
14Guard Auxiliary in Rock Island; he enjoyed boating,
15constructing railroad models, and flying radio controlled
16airplanes; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Jack Kester was preceded in death by his parents;
18and
 
19    WHEREAS, Jack Kester is survived by his wife, Joan; his
20son, Douglas Kester; his stepchildren, Clayton Brendal and

1Theresa Boyd; his grandson, Zachary; and his sisters, Patricia
2Lerch and Jody Butz; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Jack S. Kester and extend our sincere condolences to his
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Jack Kester as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
