SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Master Sergeant Joseph D. "Joe"
4Rebholz, U.S. Army (Ret) of Hampton, who passed away on March
530, 2022; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Joe Rebholz was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
7on August 31, 1945; he married Tonnie Jo (Smith) Nevins in
8Moline on December 31, 1983, and she preceded him in death on
9September 18, 2018; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Joe Rebholz was drafted into the U.S. Army on
11October 23, 1967; he served his country for 20 years, retiring
12as Master Sergeant; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Joe Rebholz enjoyed finding deals, shopping for
14antiques, and going to auctions; he also loved cooking and
15gardening; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Joe Rebholz was preceded in death by his parents;
17his brother; and his wife of 35 years, Tonnie Jo Rebholz; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Joe Rebholz is survived by his sister, Mari Jean
19Arscot; his friends, Jesse and Yesenia Schroeder, and their
20children, Johnathan, Matthew, and Christopher; his friends,

1Pedro and Ari Martinez, and their daughter, Annie; and his
2friend, Michael Cornett; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Master Sergeant Joseph D. "Joe" Rebholz, U.S. Army (Ret) and
6extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all
7who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Joe Rebholz as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
