SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois State Senate are
3saddened to learn of the death of Janet H. "Jan" Hannigan of
4Oak Park, who passed away on January 23, 2022 at the age of 89;
5and
 
6    WHEREAS, Jan Hannigan was born to Ralph and Edith Davis in
7Oak Park on September 10, 1932; she graduated from Oak Park and
8River Forest High School in 1950; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Jan Hannigan enjoyed a long career working for
10West Suburban Hospital, where she was promoted to director of
11communications before she began working for the Federal
12Deposit Insurance Corporation; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Jan Hannigan also worked with the Oak Park Area
14Gay and Lesbian Association before her retirement; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Jan Hannigan was an avid book reader and enjoyed
16bowling, knitting, and crocheting; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Jan Hannigan was a die-hard Chicago Cubs and
18Chicago Bears fan, traveling with her best friend of many
19years, Marion, to watch the Bears preseason games in
20Platteville; and

1    WHEREAS, Jan Hannigan was well known for her humor,
2friendliness, and love of people; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Jan Hannigan was preceded in death by her sons,
4James E. Hannigan and Robert K. Hannigan; her parents; and her
5two brothers; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Jan Hannigan is survived by her children, Kathi
7(Dave) Seibt, Christine Hannigan, Lori (Rose)
8Mireles-Hannigan, Michael (Kimi) Hannigan, Jennifer Hannigan,
9and Sara (Mike) Rowe-Hannigan; her grandchildren, Caitlin
10Hannigan, Danny Hannigan, Kelsey Seibt, Krista Seibt, Samantha
11Hannigan, Allison Hannigan, Kevin Hannigan, Kyle Hannigan,
12Ryan Davidson, Jocelyn Davidson, Dylan Davidson, Ryan Rowe,
13Jordan Rowe, Brandon Rowe, and Aaron Rowe; and her five
14great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
15    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
16ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
17Janet H. "Jan" Hannigan and extend our sincere condolences to
18her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
19further
 
20    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
21presented to the family of Jan Hannigan as an expression of our
