SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Edward Eric Borg, who passed away on
4November 11, 2021 at the age of 94; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Edward Borg was born in New York City on June 23,
61927 to Hjalmar and Anna Borg; his parents, who were Swedish
7immigrants, ultimately settled in the Chicago area; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Edward Borg was a longtime First Chicago Bank
9employee until his early retirement; afterward, he continued
10to work part time at the River Forest Tennis Club until he was
1191-years-old; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Edward Borg was a travel enthusiast; he
13specifically enjoyed family road trips to Walt Disney World
14and western train rides to the Grand Canyon or Jackson Hole;
15and
 
16    WHEREAS, Edward Borg loved his pets like family; he owned
17many Labrador retrievers throughout the years; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Edward Borg is survived by his wife of 68 years,
19Ruth (Hanson) Borg; his three children, Steve (Diane) Borg,
20Lori (Nick) Foley, and David (Dawn) Borg; and his seven

1grandchildren, Sarah (Ben) Ohanesian, Kristin Heidloff, Mark
2(Sandra) Borg, Julie (Jeremiah) Brown, Olivia Borg, Anna Borg,
3and Elena Borg; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Edward Eric Borg and extend our sincere condolences to his
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Edward Borg as an expression of our
11deepest sympathy.
