SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Mary T. Andriopoulos of Elk Grove
4Village, who passed away on October 10, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Mary Andriopoulos was a very proud wife and
6homemaker, who dedicated her life to her family; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Mary Andriopoulos enjoyed playing bingo, cards,
8and her favorite slot machines at casinos everywhere with her
9family and friends; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Mary Andriopoulos was affectionately known as
11"Yiayia" to her grandchildren and "Big Yiayia" to her
12great-grandchildren; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Mary Andriopoulos was the wife of the late Tom B.
14Andriopoulos; the mother of Mary Kay (DC Collard)
15Andriopoulos, Mary Ellyn (John) D'Andrea, and Bill (the late
16Cheri) Andriopoulos; the daughter of the late William and
17Helen Skintges; the grandmother of Jaime (Greg), Pat (Becca),
18Nick (Ashlee), and Maria Anna (Gabe); the great-grandmother of
19Johnny, Arianna, Athanasia, Elliana, Selena, Sophie,
20Valentina, and Colton; the sister of the late John Skintges
21and Penny (George) Maheras; the sister-in-law of Katherine

1(the late Andrew) Bestolarides and Martha Anast; the
2daughter-in-law of the late Mary and Bill Andriopoulos; and
3the aunt of many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Mary T. Andriopoulos and extend our sincere condolences to her
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Mary Andriopoulos as an expression
11of our deepest sympathy.
