2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
3 | | to learn of the death of Rosemary Nash, who passed away on |
4 | | December 1, 2022; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Rosemary Nash was born in Springfield to Margie |
6 | | L. Douglas on December 8, 1951; she graduated from Lanphier |
7 | | High School in 1970; and
|
8 | | WHEREAS, Rosemary Nash retired from Franklin Life |
9 | | Insurance, presently known as AIG, after more than 30 years of |
10 | | service; and
|
11 | | WHEREAS, Rosemary Nash was a dedicated member of Union |
12 | | Baptist Church, where she served as church clerk and |
13 | | administrative assistant for 15 years; she was a faithful |
14 | | member and servant of the Culinary Ministry, the Music & Fine |
15 | | Arts Ministry, where she sang with the Women's Choir, the Vera |
16 | | P. Shoultz Circle, and the Overall Missionary; and |
17 | | WHEREAS, Rosemary Nash was a generous person with a |
18 | | beautiful smile and one you could always count on for almost |
19 | | anything; she would make room anytime if you needed a place to |
20 | | stay; she enjoyed traveling and was famous for making |
21 | | delicious baked beans; she was a loving mother, grandmother |

1 | | "Grammy" "G-mom", aunt, cousin, sister, and friend; and

2 | | WHEREAS, Rosemary Nash was preceded in death by her |
3 | | husband, Derek; her mother, Margie Douglas; and her brother, |
4 | | Victor Hale; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Rosemary Nash is survived by her daughters, Dr. |
6 | | Nicole
(Jacson) Moody and Raquel (Michael) Caldwell; her |
7 | | sister, Alicia K. Robinson; her mother-in-law, Aletha C. Nash; |
8 | | her niece, Candace Silas (LaCrea, Calia, and Gerald); her |
9 | | niece, Charlena (Fred and Jada) Jackson; her nephew, Ryan |
10 | | (Keshia, Raighan, and Benjamin) Robinson; her grandchildren, |
11 | | Audreyana Brown-Nash, Destini, Brandon James, Jaden, Jacee, |
12 | | Jacob, and Joshua Moody, and Michael Caldwell Jr.; her special |
13 | | friend, Geno Collins; and numerous family, friends, and loved |
14 | | ones who will all hold precious memories of her in their |
15 | | hearts; therefore, be it

16 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL |
17 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
18 | | Rosemary Nash and extend our sincere condolences to her |
19 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
