Amends the Firearm Dealer License Certification Act. Provides that the fee amount for a certified licensee shall be based upon the number of firearms sold per year. Provides that if the certified licensee sells less than 150,000 firearms per year, the fee is $200. Provides that if the certified licensee sells 150,000 to 500,000 firearms per year, the fee is $500. Provides that if the certified licensee sells over 500,000 firearms per year, the fee is $1,000.

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 5. The Firearm Dealer License Certification Act is |
5 | | amended by changing Section 5-70 as follows: |
6 | | (430 ILCS 68/5-70)

7 | | Sec. 5-70. Fees and fines deposited in the State Police |
8 | | Firearm Services Fund. The Illinois State Police shall set |
9 | | and collect a
fee for each licensee certifying under this Act. |
10 | | The fee amount for a certified licensee shall be based upon the |
11 | | number of firearms sold per year. If the certified licensee |
12 | | sells less than 150,000 firearms per year, the fee is $200. If |
13 | | the certified licensee sells 150,000 to 500,000 firearms per |
14 | | year, the fee is $500. If the certified licensee sells over |
15 | | 500,000 firearms per year, the fee is $1,000. The

16 | | exceed $300 for a certified licensee operating without a

17 | | retail location. The fee may not exceed $1,500 for any |
18 | | certified licensee
operating with a retail location.
The |
19 | | Illinois State Police may not charge a certified licensee in |
20 | | this State, operating under the same or different business |
21 | | name, fees exceeding $40,000 for the certification of multiple |
22 | | licenses. All fees and fines collected under this Act shall be |
23 | | deposited in the State Police Firearm Services Fund. Moneys in |
