| 1 | AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1283

| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1283 by replacing | ||||||
| 3 | everything after the enacting clause with the following:

| 4 | "Section 5. The Township Code is amended by adding Section | ||||||
| 5 | 85-14 as follows: | ||||||
| 6 | (60 ILCS 1/85-14 new) | ||||||
| 7 | Sec. 85-14. Nondiscriminatory use of township funds. A | ||||||
| 8 | township or township official may not prohibit an organization | ||||||
| 9 | from receiving township funds based upon the actual or | ||||||
| 10 | perceived citizenship or immigration status of the person who | ||||||
| 11 | would receive those funds from the organization.
| ||||||
| 12 | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon | ||||||
| 13 | becoming law.".
