Amends Public Act 102-1015. Provides that if the Village of Hopkins Park ceases to use for public purposes certain real property located in Kankakee County conveyed to it by the Department of Corrections, then the property shall revert to the State of Illinois (rather than the State of Illinois, Department of Corrections). Effective immediately.

1 | | AN ACT concerning property.
|
2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
4 | | Section 5. "An Act concerning land", approved May 27, |
5 | | 2022, Public Act 102-1015, is amended by changing Section 1-10 |
6 | | as follows: |
7 | | (P.A. 102-1015, Sec. 1-10)

8 | | Sec. 1-10. The conveyance of real property authorized by |
9 | | Section 1-5 shall be made subject to: (1) existing public |
10 | | utilities, existing public roads, and any and all |
11 | | reservations, easements, encumbrances, covenants, and |
12 | | restrictions of record; and (2) the express condition that if |
13 | | the real property ceases to be used for public purposes, it |
14 | | shall revert to the State of Illinois , Department of |
15 | | Corrections .
