| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2569 on page 2, by | ||||||
| 3 | inserting directly above line 1, the following: | ||||||
| 4 | "Beginning January 1, 2024, the Department of | ||||||
| 5 | Transportation shall report each year to the General Assembly: | ||||||
| 6 | (i) the volume of compost used in State highway | ||||||
| 7 | construction projects; | ||||||
| 8 | (ii) the status of compost and compost-based products | ||||||
| 9 | used in State highway construction projects; and | ||||||
| 10 | (iii) recommendations to maximize the use of compost | ||||||
| 11 | as a recycled material in State highway construction | ||||||
| 12 | projects.".
