AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3751

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 3751, AS AMENDED,
3with reference to page and line numbers of Senate Amendment
4No. 1, on page 2, immediately below line 5, by inserting the
5following:
6    "The rejection of an applicant due to the applicant's
7failure to be authorized under federal law to obtain, carry,
8or purchase or otherwise possess a firearm as a result of the
9applicant's immigration status does not constitute a violation
10of the Illinois Human Rights Act."; and
 
11on page 3, line 9, by replacing "firearm" with "firearm;
12however, rejection of an applicant due to the applicant's
13failure to be authorized under federal law to obtain, carry,
14or purchase or otherwise possess a firearm as a result of the
15applicant's immigration status does not constitute a violation
16of the Illinois Human Rights Act"; and
