1 | | AN ACT concerning government. |
2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
3 | | represented in the General Assembly: |
4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Administrative Procedure Act is |
5 | | amended by adding Section 5-149 as follows: |
6 | | (5 ILCS 100/5-149 new) |
7 | | Sec. 5-149. Number of rules. A State agency may not adopt a |
8 | | new rule unless it simultaneously removes 2 or more existing |
9 | | rules for every new rule adopted. The State agency may not |
10 | | satisfy this Section by merging 2 or more existing rules into a |
11 | | single rule. |
12 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
13 | | becoming law. |
