| 1 | AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 5277 | ||||||
| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 5277 on page 1, | ||||||
| 3 | immediately above line 4, by inserting the following: | ||||||
| 4 | "Section 1. Findings. The General Assembly finds and | ||||||
| 5 | declares that since the federal government has launched the | ||||||
| 6 | America the Beautiful Challenge, whose goals include expanding | ||||||
| 7 | access to the outdoors, particularly in underserved | ||||||
| 8 | communities, formed the Federal Interagency Council on Outdoor | ||||||
| 9 | Recreation (FICOR), to create more safe, affordable, and | ||||||
| 10 | equitable opportunities for Americans to get outdoors, and | ||||||
| 11 | there are currently several federal funding programs aimed at | ||||||
| 12 | improving equitable access to the outdoors, including the | ||||||
| 13 | Active Transportation Infrastructure Investment Program | ||||||
| 14 | (ATIIP), the Neighborhood Access & Equity Grant Program, the | ||||||
| 15 | Reconnecting Communities Pilot Program, the Delta Regional | ||||||
| 16 | Authority's Strategic Planning Grant Program, and the Bridge | ||||||
| 17 | Investment Program, a goal of this Act is to capture and use | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | federal funds from these existing programs or any programs | ||||||
| 2 | that would become available in the future."; and | ||||||
| 3 | on page 2, line 1, after "shelters,", by inserting "bikeshare | ||||||
| 4 | infrastructure,". | ||||||
