2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Margaret | ||||||
4 | J. (Qualls) Wert of Spring Grove, who passed away on April 13, | ||||||
5 | 2023; and | ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Margaret Wert was born to Kenneth and Jennifer | ||||||
7 | Buit in Muskegon, Michigan on December 9, 1964; with her | ||||||
8 | family, she resided in Colorado from approximately 1972 to | ||||||
9 | 1979 and had a short stay in Texas before settling in Wichita, | ||||||
10 | Kansas in 1979; she graduated from South High School in | ||||||
11 | Wichita in 1983; following her high school graduation, she | ||||||
12 | attained her cosmetology license; she married Wade McCart | ||||||
13 | after meeting him in Wichita in 1983, and they had two | ||||||
14 | children, Bo and Kalyn McCart; she later married Troy Wert on | ||||||
15 | June 21, 1991, and they settled in Spring Grove, Illinois and | ||||||
16 | had two children, Jordan and Abbey Wert; she began attending | ||||||
17 | the College of Lake County in 2001, where she earned her | ||||||
18 | Associate in Applied Science in Medical Imaging; and | ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Margaret Wert was known for coaching the Fox Lake | ||||||
20 | Cardinals cheerleading squad, coordinating parent teacher | ||||||
21 | association events, participating in the Fox Lake Chamber of | ||||||
22 | Commerce, and volunteering at Richardson's Adventure Farm, | ||||||
23 | feeding the animals, especially her favorite horse, Rowdy; and |

1 | WHEREAS, Margaret Wert was an accredited member of the | ||||||
2 | American Registry of Radiology Technologists; and | ||||||
3 | WHEREAS, Margaret J. Wert was an avid animal lover, a | ||||||
4 | country music enthusiast, and an outdoorswoman; she especially | ||||||
5 | enjoyed seeing the Rocky Mountains of Colorado; her favorite | ||||||
6 | hobbies were gardening, holiday decorating, attending live | ||||||
7 | music shows, and watching her favorite films, The Sound of | ||||||
8 | Music and The Wizard of Oz; and | ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Margaret Wert was preceded in death by her | ||||||
10 | parents, Kenneth Buit and Jennifer Qualls; her previous | ||||||
11 | spouse, Wade McCart; her daughter, Kalyn McCart; and her pets, | ||||||
12 | Rowdy, Daisy, and Molly; and | ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, At the time of her passing, Margaret J. Wert was | ||||||
14 | survived by her children, Bo (Melissa) McCart, Jordan | ||||||
15 | (Krystal) Wert, and Abbey Wert; her grandchildren, Maddie, | ||||||
16 | Jacob, Declan, Irelynn, Hadley, and Harper; her siblings, Kim | ||||||
17 | Conkle and Karla Renteria; and her former spouse, Troy Wert; | ||||||
18 | therefore, be it | ||||||
19 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
20 | HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
21 | we mourn the passing of Margaret J. (Qualls) Wert and extend |
