HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Cutter Kirgan, a seventh 
4grader at Pleasant Hill Junior High School in Pleasant Hill, 
5on placing first in the shot put competition at the 2024 
6Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) Class 1A 7th 
7Grade Boys State Track and Field Meet; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Cutter Kirgan finished first place in shot put 
9with a distance of 11.05 meters; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Cutter Kirgan also participated in the discus 
11throw event, placing second with a distance of 114 feet and one 
12inch; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Due to his exceptional performance at the State 
14Track and Field Meet, Cutter Kirgan was named the Field Event 
15MVP; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Cutter Kirgan was led by Coaches Pamela Roach and 
17Geoffrey Giles; therefore, be it
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
19HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
20we congratulate Cutter Kirgan on his accomplishments at the

12024 Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) Class 1A 
27th Grade Boys State Track and Field Meet, and we wish him 
3continued success in the future; and be it further
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

6respect.
