HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Eric Maurice Clements of Peoria, who passed away on August 27, 2024; and

WHEREAS, Eric Clements was born to Pearlie (Corder) Clements and John E. Ford in Peoria on November 12, 1970; he attended Manual High School; and

WHEREAS, Eric Clements worked as a telemarketer at Luebke Baker and Associates, Inc. in Peoria; and

WHEREAS, Eric Clements was passionate about comedy and was a comedian; he was also passionate about fashion and loved shopping; he was a huge fan of the Chicago Bears; and

WHEREAS, Eric Clements was preceded in death by his mother; his grandmother who raised him, Pearlie (Johnson) Clements; his brother, Domonique Alexander; and his paternal grandparents, Charlie and Lillie Alexander; and

WHEREAS, Eric Clements is survived by his father, John (Michelle) Ford; his son, Isiaha "Zeek" (Monica Gibbs) Brassfield; his brothers, Warren (Georgia Davenport) Clements, Larry (Breona) Bynum, Demetrius (Lisa) Clements, Jonathan (Marie) Bynum, John Michael Ford, and Pierre Glenn; his sisters, Monique Hendon, Latechia McBride, Toya Sanders, Kentyetta Irby, Sentyra Glenn, and Schmicka Glenn; his favorite cousins, Kanisha (Frank) Clements-Baskerville, Tameca (Darrel) Wilkerson, and Germain (Samaritan) Tyler; his aunts who also helped raise him, Patricia (Gerald) Compton and Hattie Clements; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Eric Maurice Clements and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Eric Clements as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
