10 | | WHEREAS, Sones de Mexico Ensemble held its first public |
11 | | performance at Taller Mexicano de Grabado in Chicago's |
12 | | historic Pilsen neighborhood on April 9, 1994; and |
13 | | WHEREAS, Sones de Mexico Ensemble released its first |
14 | | album, Que Florezca, comprising of a four-part suite of songs |
15 | | based on the elements of air, water, fire, and earth, which |
16 | | found common denominators in other ethnic traditions around |
17 | | Chicago and encouraged cross-cultural collaborations; and |
18 | | WHEREAS, Sones de Mexico Ensemble's subsequent albums, |
19 | | Fandango on 18th Street, Esta Tierra es Tuya, Fiesta Mexicana, |
