HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Torres 
4Lamar Johnson II, of Peoria, who passed away on September 29, 
52024; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Torres Johnson was born to Torres Lamar Johnson I 
7and Kedeedra Coburn in Peoria on January 24, 2014; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Torres Johnson was a 5th grade student, attending 
9Elise Ford Allen Academy after transferring from Franklin 
10Primary School; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Torres Johnson was an aspiring YouTube 
12influencer; he loved to sing, eat snacks, and play his 
13favorite video games, Fortnite and Roblox; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Torres Johnson was preceded in death by one aunt, 
15Thelma Harris; his great-grandmother, Ruby Marie Robinson; and 
16his grandmother, Romana Mack; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Torres Johnson is survived by his father, Torres 
18Lamar Johnson I; his mother, Kedeedra Coburn; five brothers, 
19Jeremiah Sampson, Terrell Coburn, Torreon Johnson, Tamarreon 
20Johnson, and Che Blair; two sisters, Latoria Johnson and

1Kenzie Coburn; his grandfathers, Todd "Dino" Johnson I and 
2Larnell Butler; his grandmother, Felicia Shita; his 
3great-grandmothers, Ethel Harris, Elnora Coburn, and Jamie 
4Bell-Hollins; his great-uncle, Terrance "Brut" (Theresa) 
5Harris; his great-aunt, Larnitra "Joy" Butler; and a host of 
6family and friends; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
8HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
9we mourn the passing of Torres Lamar Johnson II of Peoria and 
10extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all 
11who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13presented to the family of Torres Johnson as an expression of 
14our deepest sympathy.
