1 | | without being otherwise in compliance with this Act. A person |
2 | | who violates this Section shall be assessed a civil penalty by |
3 | | the Office of up to $250 for each violation. Each day's |
4 | | violation constitutes a separate offense. The Attorney General |
5 | | or the State's Attorney of the county in which the violation |
6 | | occurs may bring an action in the name of the People of the |
7 | | State of Illinois or may, in addition to other remedies |
8 | | provided in this Act, bring an action for an injunction to |
9 | | restrain a violation of this subsection. |
10 | | (c) The Office: |
11 | | (1) shall develop a registry of persons certified as |
12 | | fire-resistant material applicators under this Section; |
13 | | and |
14 | | (2) shall adhere to training requirements for |
15 | | fire-resistant material applicators that are consistent |
16 | | with manufacturer specifications. |
17 | | (d) A person seeking certification as a fire-resistant |
18 | | material applicator shall, in the judgment of the Office, |
19 | | successfully complete the training requirements to apply |
20 | | fire-resistant material. |
21 | | If a person satisfactorily completes the training, the |
22 | | Office shall accept that he or she is certified to apply |
23 | | fire-resistant material. |
24 | | (e) Registration as a fire-resistant material applicator |
25 | | must be renewed every 3 years.
