| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1960 on page 3, by |
| 3 | | replacing lines 15 through 22 with the following: |
| 4 | | "(a) A person may operate a low-speed electric scooter |
| 5 | | where the operation of bicycles is permitted, including, but |
| 6 | | not limited to, bicycle lanes and bicycle paths, unless the |
| 7 | | municipality, county, or local authority with jurisdiction |
| 8 | | prohibits the use of low-speed electric scooters or a specific |
| 9 | | class of low-speed electric scooters on that path, and shall |
| 10 | | have all of the rights and shall be subject to all of the |
| 11 | | duties applicable to the rider of a bicycle under this Code, |
| 12 | | except as otherwise provided in this Section, and except for |
| 13 | | provisions that by their nature can have no application, |
| 14 | | including subsection (a) of Section 11-1503.".
