| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2197 on page 2, |
| 3 | | line 6, by inserting after "system" the following: |
| 4 | | "that is specifically designated to detain or incarcerate |
| 5 | | youth. "County-operated juvenile detention center" does not |
| 6 | | include police or other temporary law enforcement holding |
| 7 | | locations"; and

| 8 | | on page 12, by inserting immediately below line 20 the |
| 9 | | following:
|
| 10 | | "Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on |
| 11 | | January 1, 2025.".
