Provides that any member of the General Assembly who wishes to introduce a bill pertaining to a firearm must be able to prove that he or she has completed firearm training requirements under the Firearm Concealed Carry Act, range safety officer training, and a basic knowledge test of calibers and gauges of firearms. |

1 | | AN ACT concerning State government. |
2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
3 | | represented in the General Assembly: |
4 | | Section 5. The General Assembly Operations Act is amended |
5 | | by adding Section 13 as follows: |
6 | | (25 ILCS 10/13 new) |
7 | | Sec. 13. Firearm legislation; requirements. Any member of |
8 | | the General Assembly who wishes to introduce a bill pertaining |
9 | | to a firearm must be able to produce proof, upon request, that |
10 | | he or she has completed: (1) the firearm training requirements |
11 | | under Section 75 of the Firearm Concealed Carry Act; (2) range |
12 | | safety officer training; and (3) a basic knowledge test of |
13 | | calibers and gauges of firearms. |
