|
2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
3 | | to learn of the death of Robert "Bob" Bollman of Cantrall, who |
4 | | passed away on February 11, 2023; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Bob Bollman was born in Springfield to Gladys and |
6 | | Paul Bollman on July 8, 1938; he graduated from Lanphier High |
7 | | School in 1956; he married Janice Arlene Pehlman on November |
8 | | 2, 1957; and |
9 | | WHEREAS, Bob Bollman worked at Kroger in Springfield and |
10 | | then in several different trades, including building houses |
11 | | and owning his own electrical business; he then opened his own |
12 | | pool and spa business, Bollman's Pool & Spa Co., where he |
13 | | enjoyed many years of working with his family; and
|
14 | | WHEREAS, Bob Bollman was raised in the Third Presbyterian |
15 | | Church; he then attended Elliott Avenue Baptist Church, where |
16 | | he was baptized and married; most recently, he was a member of |
17 | | the Athens Christian Church; and
|
18 | | WHEREAS, Bob Bollman's most enjoyable activities were |
19 | | being a Mason with Tyrian Lodge #333 AF & AM, where he served |
20 | | as Worshipful Master and a Shriner; he made many great friends |
21 | | and gave his all for the mission of supporting children in |

1 | | need; he was honored to be Potentate of the Ansar Shrine in |
2 | | 1994 and served as treasurer for seven years; he also enjoyed |
3 | | woodworking, planting trees on his property, restoring his |
4 | | fathers '56 Chevy, and working on basically anything, but |
5 | | spending time with his family was what he enjoyed the most; and
|
6 | | WHEREAS, Bob Bollman was preceded in death by his |
7 | | daughter, Deanna; his parents; his brothers, Earl, Jim, |
8 | | Roland, and Richard; and his sisters, Norma Gebhardt and Mary |
9 | | Alice Benjamin; and
|
10 | | WHEREAS, Bob Bollman is survived by his wife of 65 years, |
11 | | Janice; his children, Don (Melissa), Doug (Denise), and |
12 | | Danice; and his grandchildren, Haley, Charlie, Madeline, and |
13 | | Sophia; therefore, be it
|
14 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL |
15 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
16 | | Robert "Bob" Bollman and extend our sincere condolences to his |
17 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
18 | | further

19 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
20 | | presented to the family of Bob Bollman as an expression of our |
21 | | deepest sympathy.
