|
2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
3 | | to learn of the death of Robert E. "Bob" Fornoff of Manito, who |
4 | | passed away on January 27, 2023; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Bob Fornoff was born to Clarence E. and Bessie |
6 | | (Mahr) Fornoff in Manito on December 28, 1929; he graduated |
7 | | from Manito High School in 1947; he served in the U.S. Air |
8 | | Force on the Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta, Georgia; he |
9 | | married Bernice Zielinski, and they had three children, Paula, |
10 | | Michael, and Mark; he was the companion of Jean Shelabarger |
11 | | for 26 years until her passing in 2013; and
|
12 | | WHEREAS, Bob Fornoff was a lifelong farmer in Mason |
13 | | County, and his family purchased the Meadow Dale Farm from the |
14 | | Bob Mahr Estate in 1961; he grew corn, soybeans, and wheat and |
15 | | raised pigs and black angus cattle in his early years; over the |
16 | | years, he was assisted on the farm by many, including three |
17 | | generations of the Mitchell Family; and
|
18 | | WHEREAS, Bob Fornoff became a charter member of Trinity |
19 | | Lutheran Church in Manito in 1959; he also served on the Meadow |
20 | | Lawn Cemetery Board for many years; and
|
21 | | WHEREAS, Bob Fornoff was preceded in death by his brother, |

1 | | Clarence J. Fornoff; his sister, Wilma Embree; his sons, |
2 | | Michael Fornoff and Mark Fornoff; and his son-in-law, Rick |

4 | | WHEREAS, Bob Fornoff is survived by his daughter, Paula |
5 | | (Butch Gilroy) Charlton; his six grandchildren and 13 |
6 | | great-grandchildren, Josh (Maggi) Charlton, Grace Charlton, |
7 | | Luke Charlton, Zac (Monica) Charlton, Ayla Charlton, Oakley |
8 | | Charlton, Laikyn Charlton, Beau Charlton, Megan Charlton, |
9 | | Rickey Charlton, Bella Charlton, Elizabeth Charlton, Hilary |
10 | | (David) Vine, Peter Vine, Ryan (Katrina) Fornoff, Jacob |
11 | | Fornoff, Ross Fornoff, David Fornoff, Callan Fornoff, and Jude |
12 | | Fornoff; and his nephews and niece, Ed (Daisy) Embree, Stan |
13 | | (Kathy) Embree, Linda (Ron) Doty, and their families; |

15 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL |
16 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
17 | | Robert E. "Bob" Fornoff and extend our sincere condolences to |
18 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
19 | | further

20 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
21 | | presented to the family of Bob Fornoff as an expression of our |
22 | | deepest sympathy.
