SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Michael M. Winn of Toulon, who passed
4away on January 17, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Michael Winn was born to William and Lorraine
6(Mona) Winn in Rockford on March 23, 1952; he graduated from
7Toulon High School in 1970 and attended Black Hawk College
8East Campus; he served in the U.S. Army; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Michael Winn was a member of the Toulon United
10Methodist Church and the Stark County Genealogical Society;
11and
 
12    WHEREAS, Michael Winn loved local history and genealogy,
13and he was known his ability to recall names, dates, and
14numbers off the top of his head; he enjoyed dining with friends
15and family, attending community gatherings, and spending time
16at the Toulon Library; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Michael Winn was preceded in death by his parents
18and his brother, Mitch Winn; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Michael Winn is survived by his sister-in-law,
20Colleen Kimberly Winn; his nephew, Marcus Winn; his niece,

1Chelsea Winn; and his close, lifelong friends, Marlene Peed
2and Charlene Horner; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Michael M. Winn and extend our sincere condolences to his
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Michael Winn as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
