SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Scott L. Ault of Good Hope, who passed
4away on April 20, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Scott Ault was born to Leonard Franklin and Lula
6Redfern Ault in Roseville on April 9, 1936; he was raised and
7resided in the Roseville and Good Hope area; he attended
8Roseville High School, where he excelled in football, earning
9conference honors, and was a Golden Gloves Boxer; he was also
10active in the FFA, serving as chapter president, and he won the
11Illinois State Fair Governor's Award in the sheep shearing
12competition; he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in
13Germany; he married Marilyn Kay Monroe in Roseville on March
149, 1958; and
 
15    WHEREAS, After completing his military service, Scott Ault
16returned to the Roseville area to begin his career as a farmer;
17he started Circle A Farm, where he raised deer and elk; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Scott Ault was a founding member of the North
19American Elk Breeders Association, serving a term as
20president; he was also a member of the Warren County Fair
21Board, serving one term as president, and was an avid tractor
22puller; and

1    WHEREAS, Scott Ault was an outdoorsman, and he enjoyed
2hunting and fishing; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Scott Ault was preceded in death by his parents,
4four brothers, and one sister; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Scott Ault is survived by his wife; his children,
6Sheila (Thomas) Melton, Lissa (John) Cullen, Michelle (Greg)
7Barr, and Van (Gail) Ault; eight grandchildren; eight
8great-grandchildren; and his brothers, Charles Ault and Donald
9Ault; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Scott L. Ault and extend our sincere condolences to his
13family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
14further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Scott Ault as an expression of our
17deepest sympathy.
