SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Kara Lynn Fukala Allred of Streamwood, 
4who passed away on June 9, 2023; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Kara Allred was born to Manfred Fukala and 
6Shirlene Tobias in Chicago on June 15, 1968; she graduated 
7from Notre Dame High School in 1986; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Kara Allred worked for the robotics and 
9automation company FANUC for 23 years; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Kara Allred loved food and cooking, and some of 
11her signature dishes included her white bean chicken chili, 
12corned beef for Reuben sandwiches on St. Patrick's Day, and 
13steak tacos; she also enjoyed hosting, entertaining, and 
14welcoming others; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Kara Allred enjoyed spending time outdoors, 
16especially in the summer, and exercising; she loved traveling 
17and attending music festivals and any other events that 
18featured live music;
she was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears, 
19the Chicago Bulls, the Chicago Cubs, and the Chicago 
20Blackhawks, and she also enjoyed watching horse racing; and

1    WHEREAS, Kara Allred was the heartbeat of the Fukala 
2family; she was known for being adventurous, naturally funny, 
3and a great storyteller; she will be remembered for her 
4encouraging words that brought confidence and joy to others; 
5and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Kara Allred was preceded in death by her mother; 
7her grandmother, Mildred Tobias; her younger sister, Kristie 
8Fukala; and her uncle, Klaus Fukala; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Kara Allred is survived by her father; her 
10stepmother, Bonnie Fukala; her siblings, Kevin Fukala and 
11Jennifer Fukala; her uncle, Werner Fukala; her aunts, Diane 
12Fukala and Donna Fukala; her nephew, Cassius Fukala; her 
13niece, Evie Rose Fukala; and her cousins, Jeff, Mitchell, and 
14Megan Fukala, Kimberly, Joshua, and Haley Harr, Brian Fukala, 
15Tammy Vogt Tove, and Todd Franek; therefore, be it
  
 
16    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL 
17ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

18Kara Lynn Fukala Allred and extend our sincere
condolences to 
19her family, friends, and all who knew and loved
her; and be it

21    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
