SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Wade R. Bivins of East Carondelet, who
4passed away on November 29, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Wade Bivins was born to Clarence H. and Helen D.
6(Kuni) Bivins in East Saint Louis on October 18, 1966; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Wade Bivins worked on the Mississippi River for
820 years; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Wade Bivins was a volunteer firefighter for the
10Prairie DuPont Fire Department for 39 years and was a member of
11the Emergency Services & Disaster Agency for 10 years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Wade Bivins loved hunting and traveling with his
13wife; he especially enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren and
14having a drink with friends and family; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Wade Bivins was preceded in death by his parents;
16his brothers, Marvin Bivins, Roger Bivins, and Raymond Bivins;
17and his sisters-in-law, Rhonda McAbee and Amanda Bivins; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Wade Bivins is survived by his wife of 35 years,
19Paula (Goss) Bivins; his daughters, Tabetha (fiancé, Tony

1Parisi), Wendy (Jason) Bundy, and Jenny (fiancé, Jeff Heusohn)
2Bivins; his grandchildren, Parker, Brady, and Rosie; his
3siblings, Norman Bivins, Vera Freppon, Carla (Mark) Griffith,
4and Joe Bivins; his brothers-in-law, Warden R. Goss, Robert L.
5Goss, Frank McAbee, and Doug Freppon; and many nieces,
6nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends;
7therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Wade R. Bivins and extend our sincere condolences to his
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Wade Bivins as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
