SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Beatrice Idleburg of Zion, who passed
4away on March 2, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Beatrice Idleburg was born to John Andrews and
6Gladys Dailey in Moss Point, Mississippi on September 19,
71937; she previously lived in Norcross, Georgia; she graduated
8from high school in Chicago; she married John D. Idleburg Sr.
9in Mound Bayou, Mississippi; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Before her retirement, Beatrice Idleburg worked
11at Sunset Foods in Lake Forest; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Beatrice Idleburg attended Ebenezer Baptist
13Church in Zion, where she was a member of the Mother's Board;
14she was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Beatrice Idleburg was preceded in death by her
16husband; her daughter, Cheryl Thomas; her parents; her
17sisters, Helen McDay, Patricia Reed, and Elizabeth Andrews;
18and her brothers, John Andrews and Leon Lee Dailey; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Beatrice Idleburg is survived by her children,
20John D. (Pamela) Idleburg Jr., Diane Reed, Donald Idleburg,

1Leonard Idleburg, Nancy Collins, and Christopher Hughes; 24
2grandchildren; 71 great-grandchildren; seven
3great-great-grandchildren; her siblings, Maggie Tyler,
4Geraldine Dailey, Henry Andrews, and Rev. James R. Andrews;
5and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and
6friends; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Beatrice Idleburg and extend our sincere condolences to her
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Beatrice Idleburg as an expression
14of our deepest sympathy.
