SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Terry G. Sours of Lewistown, who 
4passed away on March 13, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Terry Sours was born to Gene and Lois (Kline) 
6Sours in Pekin on May 27, 1950; he served in the U.S. Army 
7during Vietnam; he married Roxann Hughes in Lewiston on April 
86, 1973; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Terry Sours worked as an over-the-road truck 
10driver; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Terry Sours enjoyed spending time with his 
12grandchildren; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Terry Sours was preceded in death by his parents, 
14one brother, and one sister; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Terry Sours is survived by his wife of 50 years, 
16Roxann; his children, Clint (Christina) Sours and Adam (Erin) 
17Sours; his grandchildren, Jainee, Rhett, Karia, Mylie, Carter, 
18and Adalee; his brother, Mike Sours; his sisters, Diane 
19(Steve) Scott, Debbie (Lester) Griffin, and Lisa Sours; and 
20his dog, Peanut; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Terry G. Sours and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Terry Sours as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
