AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2953

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2953 by replacing
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:
 
4    "Section 5. The Capital Development Board Act is amended
5by adding Section 10.20 as follows:
 
6    (20 ILCS 3105/10.20 new)
7    Sec. 10.20. Database of non-sprinklered residential
8high-rise buildings.
9    (a) Each municipality and county shall provide to the
10Board a list of each residential high-rise building located in
11the jurisdiction of the respective municipality or county
12that:
13        (1) was not subject to a requirement to include a
14    sprinkler system at the time the building was constructed;
15        (2) does not have a sprinkler system or has only a
16    partial sprinkler system that does not cover all areas of

1    the building including living units; or
2        (3) has not been retrofitted with a sprinkler system
3    that covers all areas of the building including living
4    units.
5    (b) Each municipality or county shall provide the
6information required under subsection (a) no later than June
730, 2027 and by June 30 every 5 years thereafter.
8    (c) The Board shall create an electronic database
9containing the information provided under subsection (a) and
10shall make that database publicly available, including, but
11not limited to, by a link on the Board's website. The database
12shall include, at a minimum, the following information for
13each residential high-rise building: the property
14identification number; the number of floors; the street
15address; and the building height.
16    (d) As used in this Section:
17    "Fire sprinkler system" shall have the meaning given to
18that term in Section 10 of the Fire Sprinkler Contractor
19Licensing Act.
20    "Residential high-rise building" means any residential
21building used for human occupancy that is 75 feet or more above
22the lowest level of fire department vehicle access or is 7 or
23more stories in height.".
