HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives wish to congratulate Justin Allgaier on his
4outstanding racing career; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Justin Allgaier is a distinguished racecar driver
6who has demonstrated exceptional skill, dedication, and
7sportsmanship throughout his racing career; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Justin Allgaier was born on June 6, 1986 in
9Springfield and has become a distinguished figure in American
10stock car racing; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Justin Allgaier grew up in Riverton and has been
12an ambassador representing his community with honor and
13bringing positive recognition to the area; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Justin Allgaier's family plays a crucial role in
15his life, providing unwavering support and motivation; he is
16the son of Mike and Dorothy Allgaier; he is married to his high
17school sweetheart, Ashley Allgaier, and together, they have
18two daughters, Harper and Willow; his family's love and
19encouragement have been instrumental in his success; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Justin Allgaier began his racing career at the

1young age of five, quickly showcasing his talent and passion
2for the sport; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Justin Allgaier achieved significant milestones
4early in his career, including becoming a five-time
5quarter-midget champion by the age of 12; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Justin Allgaier became the youngest driver to
7advance to an A-Main at the Chili Bowl, the star-studded
8midget racing event in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2001 at the age of
914; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Justin Allgaier secured the ARCA Re/Max Series
11Championship in 2008, marking a pivotal moment in his ascent
12within professional racing; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Justin Allgaier was honored as the 2009 NASCAR
14Xfinity Series Rookie of the Year, further establishing his
15reputation in the racing community; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Justin Allgaier has been a consistent and
17formidable competitor in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving
18the No. 7 Chevrolet for JR Motorsports; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Justin Allgaier has accumulated 27 Xfinity Series
20victories over his career, placing him 9th on the all-time

2    WHEREAS, Justin Allgaier achieved the pinnacle of his
3career by winning the NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship in
42024, a testament to his dedication and skill; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Justin Allgaier has been recognized multiple
6times as the all-time record holder for the NASCAR Xfinity
7Series Most Popular Driver Award, reflecting his positive
8impact on fans and the broader community; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Justin Allgaier has exemplified the values of
10perseverance, sportsmanship, and community engagement
11throughout his career, serving as an inspiration to aspiring
12racers and Illinois residents alike; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Justin Allgaier's contributions to racing extend
14beyond the track, as he has actively engaged with fans,
15participated in community events, and supported charitable
16causes, including the Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon initiative,
17which he featured on his car during Memorial Day weekend at
18Charlotte Motor Speedway, as well as participating in numerous
19charity events and fundraisers; therefore, be it
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
21HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that

1we declare November 9, 2025 as Justin Allgaier Day in the State
2of Illinois to commemorate the one year anniversary of his
3championship win, and we extend our best wishes for continued
4success in all his future endeavors; and be it further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to Justin Allgaier as a symbol of our respect and
7esteem.
