 1                     AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 184

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill  184,  AS  AMENDED,
 3    with  reference  to  page and line numbers of House Amendment
 4    No. 1, on  page  1,  line  7,  after  "2.11a,"  by  inserting
 5    "2.11b,"; and

 6    on page 1, line 8, by deleting "and"; and

 7    on  page  1,  line 9, after "15.3" by inserting ", and 16.5";
 8    and

 9    on page 2, line 14, after "Felidae", by inserting  "but  does
10    not include feral cats"; and

11    on page 3, after line 17, by inserting the following:

12        "(510 ILCS 5/2.11b new)
13        Sec.  2.11b.  "Feral cat" means a cat that (i) is born in
14    the wild or is the offspring of an owned or feral cat and  is
15    not socialized, or (ii) is a formerly owned cat that has been
16    abandoned  and  is no longer socialized or lives on a farm.";
17    and

18    on page 6, line 2, by  replacing  "The  microchip"  with  "If
19    microchips are required, the microchip"; and

20    on page 7, line 29, by deleting "and microchipped"; and

 1    on  page  9,  line  33,  by  replacing  "microchipping"  with
 2    "microchipped"; and

 3    on   page   10,   line   3,   by   replacing  "performed  and
 4    microchipping" with  "performed,  including  microchipping,";
 5    and

 6    on page 22, after line 15, by inserting the following:

 7        "(510 ILCS 5/16.5 new)
 8        Sec.  16.5.  Expenses  of  microchipping.   A  clinic for
 9    microchipping companion animals of county residents should be
10    conducted at least once a year under  the  direction  of  the
11    Administrator or, if the Administrator is not a veterinarian,
12    the  Deputy  Administrator  at  the  animal control facility,
13    animal shelter, or other central location within the  county.
14    The  maximum  amount that can be charged for microchipping an
15    animal at this clinic shall be  $15.   Funds  generated  from
16    this clinic shall be deposited in the county's animal control
17    fund.".
