 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS,  The  members   of   the   Illinois   House   of
 3    Representatives  offer  our  sincere  congratulations  to the
 4    Junior League of Kane and DuPage Counties, Inc.; and

 5        WHEREAS, On April 1, 1995, the Junior League of Kane  and
 6    DuPage   Counties   became  the  287th  league  to  join  the
 7    Association of Junior Leagues International; and

 8        WHEREAS, The League  fulfills  an  important  mission  of
 9    offering educational and charitable services; and

10        WHEREAS,  Women  from  Kane,  DuPage,  Will,  and Kendall
11    counties serve as volunteers, donating hundreds of  hours  of
12    valuable assistance and  expertise; and

13        WHEREAS,  The  Junior  League of Kane and DuPage Counties
14    provides a vital service to meet the recreational and  social
15    needs of children at risk; and

16        WHEREAS,  The  League  supplies  critical  resources  and
17    programs  to  the community through their trained volunteers;
18    and

19        WHEREAS, This  organization  of  women  is  committed  to
20    promoting  volunteerism  and  improving the community through
21    action and leadership; and

22        WHEREAS, The League supports projects that cover  a  wide
23    variety  of  needs, focusing on prevention and rehabilitation
24    services; therefore, be it

25        RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE  NINETY-
26    THIRD  GENERAL  ASSEMBLY  OF  THE  STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
27    recognize the staff and the volunteers who devote their  time
28    and  effort  to the Junior League of Kane and DuPage Counties
29    and we offer our congratulations to the organization; and  be
30    it further
