 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The highest award the National  Council  of  the
 3    Boy  Scouts  of  America  can  bestow upon a Scout is that of
 4    Eagle Scout; and

 5        WHEREAS, Timothy Ronneberg of Boy  Scout  Troop  977,  in
 6    Norridge, received the Eagle Scout Award at a Court of Honor;
 7    and

 8        WHEREAS,  In  order to qualify as an Eagle Scout, a young
 9    man must demonstrate outstanding qualities of  leadership,  a
10    willingness  to  be of help to others, and superior skills in
11    camping, lifesaving, and first aid; and

12        WHEREAS, Timothy has been a member of Troop 977  for  six
13    years; he has served in a number of leadership positions that
14    included  Assistant  Patrol  Leader, Patrol Leader, Assistant
15    Senior Patrol Leader,  and  Troop  Guide;  of  the  different
16    positions,  he  enjoyed  Troop Guide the most; it gave him an
17    opportunity to teach  younger  scouts  many  of  the  outdoor
18    skills he learned; and

19        WHEREAS,  In  earning  this  high  rank, Timothy joins an
20    elite and honorable fraternity of achievers that counts among
21    its members an extraordinary number of  this  nation's  great
22    leaders in business, government, education, and other sectors
23    of society; and

24        WHEREAS, Timothy is also an active member of the Order of
25    the Arrow which is a service organization within the scouting
26    program; he has served in several positions including Chapter
27    Chief;  he  has  attended  two NOAC conferences and many work
28    weekends that helped both his Council and a neighboring  Girl
29    Scout Council; and

30        WHEREAS,  Tim  is  also  very  active  in school and is a
31    member of a number of  academic  clubs,  service  clubs,  and

 1    enjoys  playing  baseball;  he works for the school cafeteria
 2    before school and the Information Technology Department after
 3    school;  he is a well rounded teenager  and  has  earned  the
 4    right to wear the Eagle Badge; and

 5        WHEREAS,  The  achievement  of  the  rank  of Eagle Scout
 6    reflects favorably  upon  the  recipient,  his  justly  proud
 7    family, his Scoutmaster, and his fellow scouts; therefore, be
 8    it

 9        RESOLVED,   BY   THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES  OF  THE
10    NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS,  that
11    we  join  his  family  and  friends in congratulating Timothy
12    Ronneberg upon attaining the coveted rank of Eagle Scout  and
13    commend him upon the unswerving dedication to excellence that
14    is the hallmark of the Eagle Scout; and be it further

15        RESOLVED,  That  a  suitable  copy  of this resolution be
16    presented to Eagle Scout Timothy Ronneberg as  an  expression
17    of our respect and esteem.
