 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members of the House of  Representatives  of
 3    the  State  of  Illinois wish to congratulate  Stanley  Weder
 4    on the occasion of his retirement from the State of Illinois
 5    Comptroller's Office on April 30, 2003; and

 6        WHEREAS,  Mr. Weder was born on August 18, 1952 to Roy C.
 7    and  Mary  E.  Campbell Weder; he has 6 brothers and sisters,
 8    Jim, Julia, Wilbur, Larry, Dixie and Mary Jeanne; and

 9        WHEREAS, Mr. Weder married Carol Little at First  Baptist
10    Church  in  Winchester, on July 7, 1979; they are the parents
11    of 3 daughters: Caroline (born in  1984),  she  died  shortly
12    after birth, Lindsey (1986) and Kristen (1989); and

13        WHEREAS,   Mr.  Weder  grew  up  on  the  family  farm in
14    Winchester where he  continued  to  help  his  Dad  with  the
15    farming  while attending college and even after starting work
16    at the Comptroller's Office in May of 1975; he attended Alsey
17    Grade School, Winchester  High  School,  Spoon  River  Junior
18    College, and graduated from Western Illinois University; and

19        WHEREAS,   Mr. Weder is an avid outdoorsman and sportsman
20    who loves to hunt, bowl, play  golf,  attend  his  daughter's
21    basketball  and soccer games, and other school activities; he
22    is also active in his daughters'  schools,  in  their  Parent
23    Teacher  Associations,  and  he  is  a member of the board of
24    Springfield High School's Booster Club; one of  his  favorite
25    pastimes  is  attending  St.  Louis  Cardinal baseball games;
26    therefore, be it

27        RESOLVED,   BY   THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES  OF  THE
28    NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS,  that
29    we congratulate Mr. Stanley Weder  on  the  occasion  of  his
30    retirement from the State Comptroller's office after 28 years
31    of service, and we commend him for his loyalty and enthusiasm

 1    to his job; and be it further

 2        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
 3    presented  to Mr. Stanley Weder as a token of our respect and
 4    esteem and with best  wishes  for  a  peaceful  and  relaxing
 5    retirement.
