093_HR0361 LRB093 11999 KEF 16581 r 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, A competent and assertive agricultural 3 leadership is important to the future of the Illinois 4 agriculture industry; and 5 WHEREAS, Agricultural programs promote an awareness of 6 the global and technological importance of agriculture and 7 its contribution to the economic security of the State of 8 Illinois; and 9 WHEREAS, The wise management of economic, environmental, 10 and human resources of the community are essentials of a good 11 steward; and 12 WHEREAS, Agricultural education promotes the intelligent 13 choice and establishment in an agricultural career; and 14 WHEREAS, Achievement in supervised agricultural 15 experience programs strengthens the confidence of agriculture 16 students in themselves and their work; and 17 WHEREAS, The development of interpersonal skills in 18 teamwork, communications, human relations, and social 19 interaction are characteristics of a desirable workforce; and 20 WHEREAS, Activities that develop character and promote 21 scholarship, citizenship, volunteerism, and patriotism among 22 youth are highly desirable; and 23 WHEREAS, The Illinois Association Future Farmers of 24 America (FFA) makes a positive difference in the lives of 25 students by developing their potential for premier 26 leadership, personal growth, and career success through 27 agricultural education; therefore, be it 28 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 29 NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 30 we commend the past and present members of the Illinois -2- LRB093 11999 KEF 16581 r 1 Association FFA and their advisors and congratulate them for 2 building a rich tradition of excellence in agriculture; and 3 be it further 4 RESOLVED, That we commend the Illinois Association FFA 5 for the many positive contributions this Association has made 6 to this State since 1929; and wish the Association and its 7 members great success in the future; and be it further 8 RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be 9 presented to the Executive Secretary of the Illinois FFA, 10 James Craft, as an expression of our respect.
