HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives were saddened to learn of the death of Louis J.
4 Kasper; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Mr. Kasper was a dedicated Republican who served
6 the party for over 40 years; and
 
7     WHEREAS, Through the years, he served as the Administrative
8 Assistant to the State's Attorney Ben Adamowski and Cook County
9 State's Attorney Bernie Casey, Chief Deputy Baliff to Sheriff
10 Richard Ogilvie, Republican Ward Committeeman, Chief Deputy
11 Sheriff under Sheriff Joseph Woods, Chicago Republican City
12 Chairman for 30 years, Cook County Republican Central Committee
13 Chairman, and Administrator of the Chicago Medical Center under
14 former Governors Jim Thompson and Jim Edgar; in addition, he
15 served as a State Legislator for the 17th district and
16 Assistant Secretary of State for Jim Edgar; and
 
17     WHEREAS, He was a loving and loyal friend to all; and
 
18     WHEREAS, The passing of Louis J. Kasper will be deeply felt
19 by many, especially his late significant other's children, Lori
20 Magnifico; nee Mrazek (Richard Wesley), Donna (Edward) Karda,
21 Margaret (Anthony) Perry; his sisters, Sonia (Grover) Nash,
22 Josephine Chyler, Ann Hicks, Helen (Harold) Nash, Mary (Roman)
23 Gerke; his nieces and nephews, Dorothy (nee Hatch) Nash, James
24 (Mary) Gerke, Harold Nash, David (Lois) Hicks, Robert Hicks,
25 Victoria Williams (nee Hicks), and Peter (Diane) Chyler; in
26 addition, he was the loving grandpa of Jessica Magnifico; and
 
27     WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his significant other,
28 Marilyn Mrazek (nee Hahn); his brother, John; his
29 brothers-in-law, Henry Chyler and Dave Hicks; and his nephew,
30 Douglas Nash; therefore, be it

1     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
2 NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
3 mourn the passing of Louis J. Kasper along with all who knew
4 and loved him and extend our sincere condolences to his family
5 and friends; and be it further
 
6     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7 presented to the family of Louis J. Kasper as a token of our
8 deepest sympathy.
