93^rd General Assembly

Pursuant to Article IV, Section 9(b) of the Illinois Constitution of 1970, I hereby veto Senate Bill 1101, entitled “AN ACT in relation to taxes.”   I recognize and appreciate the hard work of all the sponsors in passing this legislation.  However, Senate Bill 1101 is substantially similar to Public Act 93-0286, which I signed on July 22, 2003.

For this reason, I hereby veto and return Senate Bill 1101.
