| AN ACT concerning education.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| represented in the General Assembly:

| Section 5. The School Code is amended by changing

| 1-2 as follows:

| (105 ILCS 5/1-2) (from Ch. 122, par. 1-2)

| Sec. 1-2. Construction.
The provisions of this Act, so far |
| 8 |
| as they are the same as those of any
prior statute, shall be |
| 9 |
| construed as a continuation of those
such prior
provisions, and |
| 10 |
| not as a new enactment.
|
| 11 |
| If in any other statute reference is made to an Act of the |
| 12 |
| General
Assembly, or a section of such an Act, which is |
| 13 |
| continued in this School
Code, such reference shall be held to |
| 14 |
| refer to the Act or section thereof
so continued in this Code.
