 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members  of  the  Senate  of  the  State  of
 3    Illinois  were  saddened  to  learn  of the death of Margaret
 4    Scott Hildebrand of Decatur on Monday, February 3, 2003; and

 5        WHEREAS, Mrs. Hildebrand was born  on  May  29,  1915  in
 6    Rosamond  to  George Haft and Jesse Putnam Scott; she married
 7    Ernest Frederick Hildebrand in 1937 in Rosamond; and

 8        WHEREAS, Mrs. Hildebrand  graduated  from  Rosamond  High
 9    School  and  trained  as a nurse for infants at Michael Reese
10    Hospital in Chicago;  she  and  her  husband  operated  Fay's
11    Fabrics in Decatur; and

12        WHEREAS, Mrs. Hildebrand was active in the community; she
13    worked  with Meals-on-Wheels in Decatur and was a past member
14    of the American Legion Auxiliary in Pana; and

15        WHEREAS, The passing  of  Margaret  Hildebrand  has  been
16    deeply  felt by many, especially her husband, Ernest; her two
17    daughters, Margie (husband, Pat) Malone and Mary Kay  Harris;
18    her  two  sons,  Douglas  Hildebrand and Stanley (wife, Mary)
19    Hildebrand;   her   ten   grandchildren;    and    her    two
20    great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

21        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  SENATE  OF  THE  NINETY-THIRD GENERAL
22    ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the  passing
23    of  Margaret  Scott Hildebrand and offer our deepest sympathy
24    to her family and friends; and be it further

25        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
26    presented  to  the  family  of  Margaret  Hildebrand with our
27    sincerest condolences.
