SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate were saddened
3 to learn of the death of James M. Wiggs of Benton on July 10,
4 2004; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Mr. Wiggs was born June 26, 1940 in Benton, the
6 son of John M. and Della Mae Wiggs; and
 
7     WHEREAS, Mr. Wiggs received a Bachelor of Science in
8 Journalism with a minor in education; after graduation, he
9 worked at the Southern Illinoisan and the Metro East Journal
10 newspapers; he later taught school and was a principal for two
11 years at the Flatts Grade School; he then started the Wiggs
12 Advertising Agency and Wiggs Jewelry with locations in Benton,
13 Herrin, and West Frankfort; and
 
14     WHEREAS, He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the
15 Benton Masonic Lodge, Elks, Eagles, and the Boneyard Boccie
16 Club; and
 
17     WHEREAS, The passing of James M. Wiggs will be deeply felt
18 by many, especially his by his daughter, Pam Streuter; his
19 granddaughter, Bethany Streuter; his brother, Jerry Wiggs; his
20 niece, Jill Lampley; and his nephew, Jeff Wiggs; and
 
21     WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents;
22 therefore, be it
 
23     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL
24 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of
25 James M. Wiggs along with all who knew and loved him and extend
26 our sincere condolences to his family and friends; and be it
27 further
 
28     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
