| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Gwendolyn |
4 |
| Franklin Lymore on Tuesday, October 5, 2004; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Gwendolyn Franklin Lymore was born to LaElla and |
6 |
| Robert Franklin on October 16, 1931; she was the youngest of |
7 |
| four children; and |
8 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Lymore received her formal education in the |
9 |
| Chicago Public School System; she attended both Betsy Ross |
10 |
| Elementary and Englewood High School; and
|
11 |
| WHEREAS, Upon completing her education, she met and married |
12 |
| Edward Lymore on July 16, 1949; the couple moved to Gary, |
13 |
| Indiana; four children were born to this union; and
|
14 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Lymore worked for the City of Markham for |
15 |
| over ten years; and
|
16 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Lymore confessed her belief in Christ at an |
17 |
| early age; both Mrs. Lymore and her sister, Marie, were active |
18 |
| at St. Paul Methodist Church; they attended bible classes |
19 |
| taught by Mrs. Nance and sold tickets to earn expenses to |
20 |
| attend conventions; and
|
21 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Lymore was a devoted and dedicated wife, |
22 |
| mother, and aunt; she was an excellent cook and she loved |
23 |
| dancing, bowling, and sewing for her children; she was involved |
24 |
| socially and politically in the community; she will always be |
25 |
| remembered for her classy and vibrant personality; and
|
26 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Lymore was preceded in death by her parents, |
27 |
| LaElla and Robert Franklin; her husband, Edward; one child, |
28 |
| Vannetto; and her sister, Rose; and
