SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

 

Appropriates $8,500,000 from the General Revenue Fund as follows: (1) $6,000,000 to the Early Intervention Services Revolving Fund for a 5% cost-of-doing-business increase for 16 specified early intervention services at the Department of Human Services for payment for early intervention services; and (2) $2,500,000 to the Department of Healthcare and Family Services, for a 5% cost-of-doing-business increase for providers of each of the following services in connection with the provision of therapy services: physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy funded by the Department of Healthcare and Family Services.  Effective July 1, 2006.

    AN ACT concerning appropriations.

 

        Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

 

    Section 5.  In addition to any other amounts heretofore appropriated for these purposes, the sum of $8,500,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund as follows:

    (1) $6,000,000 to the Early Intervention Services Revolving Fund for a 5% cost-of-doing-business increase for the 16 early intervention services, including assistive technology, audiology, clinical assessment, counseling, and other therapeutic services, developmental therapy, family training and support, health consultation, medical services, nursing services, nutrition services, occupational therapy, physical therapy, service coordination, social services, speech language services, transportation, and vision services, at the Department of Human Services for payment for early intervention services.

    (2) $2,500,000 to the Department of Healthcare and Family Services, for a 5% cost-of-doing-business increase for providers of each of the following services in connection with the provision of therapy services: physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy funded by the Department of Healthcare and Family Services.

 

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2006.
