AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 325

2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 325, AS AMENDED,
3 with reference to page and line numbers of Senate Amendment No.
4 1, on page 4, immediately below line 26, by inserting the
5 following:
 
6     "Section 95. "An Act to authorize the Department of Mental
7 Health to convey certain State-owned lands in Kane County",
8 approved August 10, 1965, as amended by "An Act to amend
9 Section 3 of "An Act to authorize the Department of Mental
10 Health to convey certain State-owned lands in Kane County",
11 approved August 10, 1965", approved March 2, 1967, is amended
12 by changing Section 3 as follows:
 
13     (Laws 1965, p. 2927, Sec. 3; Laws 1967, p. 28, Sec. 1)
14     Sec. 3. (a) Except as provided in subsection (b), the The
15 purchaser shall agree that the land described in Section 1
16 shall be used for public educational and recreational purposes,
17 but may convey any part of that land to the board of a public
18 junior college district which includes any part of Kane County
19 in its territory at a purchase price computed on the basis of a
20 price per acre which does not exceed that authorized by this
21 Act for the conveyance to the City of Elgin. Such an agreement
22 does not prevent the City of Elgin from selling or leasing,
23 under the conditions and in the manner provided in Division 76
24 of Article 11 of the Illinois Municipal Code, any part of that

1 land not so conveyed.
2     (b) The provisions of subsection (a) do not apply to the
3 following described land, which is a part of the land described
4 in Section 1:
5 THAT PART OF THE SOUTH HALF OF SECTION 21, TOWNSHIP 41 NORTH,
6 RANGE 8 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN DESCRIBED AS
7 FOLLOWS: COMMENCING AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE NORTHEAST
8 QUARTER OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SAID SECTION 21; THENCE
9 SOUTH 88 DEGREES 16 MINUTES 35 SECONDS WEST, ALONG THE NORTH
10 LINE OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SAID
11 SECTION 21, A DISTANCE OF 474.18 FEET; THENCE NORTH 58 DEGREES
12 14 MINUTES 37 SECONDS WEST, A DISTANCE OF 235.77 FEET; THENCE

15 WEST, A DISTANCE OF 360.85 FEET FOR THE POINT OF BEGINNING;
