    Amends the Military Code of Illinois. Requires that a member of the Army National Guard or the Air National Guard ordered to funeral honors duty receive an allowance of $100 (rather than $50).

1     AN ACT concerning the military.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Military Code of Illinois is amended by
5 changing Section 28.6 as follows:
 
6     (20 ILCS 1805/28.6)
7     Sec. 28.6. Policy.
8     (a) A member of the Army National Guard or the Air National
9 Guard may be ordered to funeral honors duty in accordance with
10 this Article. That member shall receive an allowance of $100
11 $50 for any day on which a minimum of 2 hours of funeral honors
12 duty is performed. Members of the Illinois National Guard
13 ordered to funeral honors duty in accordance with this Article
14 are considered to be in the active service of the State for all
15 purposes except for pay, and the provisions of Sections 52, 53,
16 54, 55, and 56 of the Military Code of Illinois apply if a
17 member of the Illinois National Guard is injured or disabled in
18 the course of those duties.
19     (b) The Adjutant General may provide support for other
20 authorized providers who volunteer to participate in a funeral
21 honors detail conducted on behalf of the Governor. This support
22 is limited to transportation, reimbursement for
23 transportation, expenses, materials, and training.
