    Amends the Department of Public Health Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning violations of the Act.

1     AN ACT concerning State government.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Department of Public Health Act is amended
5 by changing Section 8.1 as follows:
 
6     (20 ILCS 2305/8.1)  (from Ch. 111 1/2, par. 24)
7     Sec. 8.1. Whoever violates or refuses to obey any rule or
8 regulation of the the Department of Public Health shall be
9 deemed guilty of a Class A misdemeanor. The Director of Public
10 Health shall institute prosecutions and proceedings for
11 violation of the rules and regulations adopted by the
12 Department of Public Health, provided that he may designate a
13 local board of health or local health officer to institute
14 prosecutions or proceedings for violation of those rules and
15 regulations adopted by the Department. Each State's Attorney
16 shall prosecute all persons in his county violating or refusing
17 to obey the rules and regulations of the Department of Public
18 Health. All fines or judgments collected or received shall be
19 paid to the County Treasurer of the county in which prosecution
20 is conducted.
