HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the
3 State of Illinois are pleased to congratulate Floyd W. Sanford
4 on the occasion of his retirement as Bloomingdale Township
5 Supervisor; and
 
6     WHEREAS, As a 46 year resident of DuPage County, Mr.
7 Sanford has been very active in the community; he was a member
8 of the DuPage County Board for 14 years, Chairman of the DuPage
9 County Forest Preserve Golf Committee, Vice Chairman of the
10 DuPage County Public Works Committee, a member of the DuPage
11 County Storm Water and Judicial Committees, Chairman of the
12 DuPage County Forest Preserve Storm Water Committee and the
13 DuPage County Forest Preserve Operations Committee, and he was
14 Vice Chairman of the DuPage County Executive Committee; and
 
15     WHEREAS, He was a member of the DuPage County Zoning Board
16 of Appeals for eight years and served as the Bloomingdale
17 Township Clerk for ten years; he was a member of the Citizens
18 Advisory Committee for School District #12 and the Village of
19 Roselle Zoning Board of Appeals for four years; he served as
20 Treasurer for the Village of Roselle for three years; and
 
21     WHEREAS, Mr. Sanford is a retired Chief Financial Officer
22 and Board Director for 14 U.S. Corporations; he was a charter
23 member of the Roselle-Medinah Lions Club; he has served as a
24 Republican Precinct Committeeman for 28 years and was the
25 Bloomingdale Bears football coach for 13 years; and
 
26     WHEREAS, He has a B.A. from Northern Illinois University;
27 he has been married for 49 years and is the father of four
28 children; therefore, be it
 
29     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
30 NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that

1 we congratulate Floyd W. Sanford on the occasion of his
2 retirement as Bloomingdale Township Supervisor, and we thank
3 him for his many years of community service; and be it further
 
4     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5 presented to Mr. Sanford as an expression of our respect and
6 esteem and with best wishes for a relaxing retirement.
