| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
3 |
| Representatives were deeply saddened to learn of the death of |
4 |
| Pfc. Wyatt Dale Eisenhauer who gave his life in Said of |
5 |
| Abdullah (Southern Baghdad), Iraq, in the service of his |
6 |
| country on May 19, 2005, while serving with Headquarters and |
7 |
| Headquarters Company 2nd Battalion, 70th Armor, 3rd Brigade |
8 |
| Combat team, 1st Armored Division United States Army; and
|
9 |
| WHEREAS, In 2004, he joined the U.S. Army, following in the |
10 |
| footsteps of his father, Fred Eisenhauer and Grandpa Fred |
11 |
| "Fritz" Eisenhauer; he completed his basic training at Fort |
12 |
| Knox, Kentucky and was stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas, when |
13 |
| his unit deployed to Iraq; and
|
14 |
| WHEREAS, Pfc. Eisenhauer was born in Pinckneyville, the |
15 |
| county of Perry, on Flag Day, June 14, 1978, the son of Fred |
16 |
| and Gay Eisenhauer; he was a brother to Rebecca, Hannah, and |
17 |
| Leah; and
|
18 |
| WHEREAS, He went to kindergarten in Pinckneyville, |
19 |
| attended Pinckneyville Grade School, and graduated from |
20 |
| Pinckneyville High School; while in high school, he was a |
21 |
| member of the Pinckneyville Panther's wrestling team, band, and |
22 |
| V.I.C.A.; he was honored for distinguished achievement when |
23 |
| placing first place in the State Diesel Equipment Technician |
24 |
| competition; he loved music and played the trumpet, guitar, |
25 |
| baritone, and piano; he also set up sound systems and ran the |
26 |
| sound boards for many bands; after high school, he attended |
27 |
| Southern Illinois University-Carbondale in the Automotive |
28 |
| Mechanic program; and
|
29 |
| WHEREAS, He loved the outdoors and thoroughly enjoyed |
30 |
| fishing, as well as kayaking down Beaucoup Creek; he also loved |
31 |
| rock climbing, camping, and animals, especially his bird, Jake; |
