HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, Jennifer Lundy Sender will be installed as
3 President of the Women's Bar Association of Illinois at the
4 92nd Annual Installation Dinner on Thursday, June 8, 2006; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Ms. Sender holds a J.D. with honors from Loyala
6 University, where she also received the American Jurisprudence
7 Award in Immigration Law and had highest honors in negotiation
8 and mediation; she also holds a B.A. from Northern Illinois
9 University; and
 
10     WHEREAS, She concentrates her practice in complex
11 commercial matters for national and multinational clients,
12 including contract disputes, distributor disputes, product
13 defects, and environmental litigation; and
 
14     WHEREAS, Ms. Sender has extensive experience in counseling
15 and representing clients in litigation relating to
16 distributorship agreements, contract disputes, product defects
17 and recalls, medical devices and medical malpractice, and
18 various environmental issues; she has litigated cases in state
19 and federal courts in New York, Michigan, Florida, North
20 Carolina, Minneapolis, Indiana, and Illinois; and
 
21     WHEREAS, She is regional counsel for one of the largest
22 telecommunications companies, providing assistance with
23 environmental issues arising in retail property acquisitions;
24 she also represents a number of foreign corporations and
25 individuals in litigation pending in the United States; she has
26 assisted clients in the petroleum industry, agricultural and
27 construction equipment industry, and consumer food products
28 industry; and
 
29     WHEREAS, Ms. Sender joined Hinshaw & Culbertson LLPA in
30 December 1996; she is an appointed member of the firm's Hiring

1 Committee and Sexual Harassment Committee; she has been rated
2 by Martindale-Hubbell for legal ability and ethics; and
 
3     WHEREAS, Ms. Sender is active in a number of national and
4 regional professional organizations; she is an active member of
5 the American Bar Association; she is the founder and Chair of
6 the Women's Bar Association's Corporate Counsel Committee; she
7 is also a founding member of the Chicago Chapter of the Society
8 of Women Environmental Professionals, a national educational
9 and networking organization for women in various professions in
10 the environmental field; therefore, be it
 
11     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
12 NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
13 we congratulate Jennifer Lundy Sender on the occasion of her
14 installation as President of the Women's Bar Association of
15 Illinois; and be it further
 
16     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17 presented to Ms. Sender as an expression of our esteem.
